The investment strategy is to acquire minority stakes in growth stage Chinese cleantech private companies in the China area.
The Fund management team will be based in Beijing. The management team of the Fund includes high-profile individuals, both Westerners and Chinese, with longstanding and recognized Chinese experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION for Investment Manager
Based in Beijing
• Fluent in both Chinese and English
• At least several years private equity experience in Cleantech in China and 3- 6 years professional experience
• Proven track record of his/her direct participation in successful cleantech transactions including deal structuring, post-investment management and exit
• Proven access to Cleantech deal flow in China
• Experience in Sino-Foreign partnerships and technologies transfer is a plus
• Strong negotiations, communications and management skills

The incumbent shall have proven experience with respect to the following:
Deal initiation and fund raising:
• Directs private equity research in focus areas, screen and identify potential investment opportunities. Conduct assessment and due diligence, and deliver investment report to the Investment Committee.
Participate in fund raising activities Deal execution and portfolio management:
• Functional expertise in PE direct investments, strategic planning, budgeting and financial analysis, project management, deal valuations, contract negotiations and risk management control.
• Assist portfolio company on the execution of post transaction growth plan by providing management support services to ensure key strategic, corporate, and operational objectives be achieved.
• Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting portfolio company overall performance using strictly implemented financial control and benchmarking metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Deliver consistent and high performance financial returns on investments, in line with investors and management expectations. Superior returns will be compensated through a motivating scheme.
• Report and liaise with key stakeholders and manage professional services providers and auditors on all matters related to the Fund.
• Manage the execution of exit together with the portfolio company.

Requirements:
1. More than [3-6] years working experience in private equity, management consulting, merchant banking, investment banking, corporate finance and/or corporate merger and acquisition or other related discipline with experience and/or exposure in investing in China.
2. More than [3-6] years working experience in related fields with internationally reputed firms which shall be focused on China.
3. Experience and capability in the execution of due diligence processes.
4. Good communication skills and analytical skills.
5. Good business sense and excellent finance and modeling skill.
6. Solid English and Mandarin capabilities.
7. The ability to understand business /economic conditions and government /regulatory /policy /political issues in China and be able to interpret their impact on various businesses.
8. Bachelor and above degree in finance, economics or accounting in a reputed school/university.
Admin Manager:
This is a job description:
Our London office has decided we need somebody with some accounting or financial experience for the admin role. This reason is that we are in the process of converting from a rep office to a WOFE and more bookkeeping will need to be done in-house. Some interest in the CDM would always be helpful as a lot of transactions would be related to it. The revised job description is as follows:
- Internal bookkeeping for WOFE and responsibilities for payment system;
- Contract review (including consulting contracts, DOE contracts, Emission Reduction Purchase Agreements etc) ;
- Interaction with DOEs where required (non-technical);
- Responsibility for coordinating internal data and knowledge management (including some basic IT responsibilities if possible) ;
- Facilitating reporting to London office and other relevant coordination;
- Good English and bookkeeping skills required to deal with the above.
