Major Responsibilities
· Hire and retain professional IT team members as needed to fulfill work
· Lead teams to implement effective IT management and solution delivery practices
· Monitor and report on the delivery of product releases and/or assigned work
· Ensure appropriate management processes are implemented for delivery of quality solutions
· Foster collaborative relationships with CTG team members in all sites as needed to ensure appropriate support
· Provide assistance and counsel to team members, including mentoring, coaching, and career development
· As needed, travel to other global sites on a periodic basis
Essential Experience and Skills
· Demonstrated ability to multi-task under demanding conditions: flexibility, commitment and integrity are critical
· Must be a team player, self motivated, possess good inter-personal communication skills, good analytical and problem solving skills, good documentation skills, good planning skills
· Business Level English
· English skills are required to communicate with local engineers and CTG managers and/or other CTG resources in other sites.
· Strong release, project, and people management skills, not just language proficiency.
· Must have proven ability to effectively lead teams of 7 to 15 people to meet deadlines.
· Deep understanding of project management methods and principles, such as Agile.
· Understanding of Web technologies, database technologies, middleware technologies
· Understanding of programming scripts / languages (Shell, Perl, PHP, Java, VB, .NET/C#, VC++, SQL)
Desirable skills
· Previous experience as a technology leader in a distributed technology product team would be beneficial, for example having worked on Global Projects.
· Understanding of Financial and/or Corporate Function business domains is helpful but not required.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
· Four year degree (required)
8+ years of previous IT technical leadership experience, with at least 3 years in management
