Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop research projects as well as to strengthen and expand the existing research projects;
• Devise and contribute to the development of proposals for external funding of research projects;
• Develop research contributions to subject areas using methodologies, critical evaluations, interpretations, analyses and other appropriate techniques;
• Participate in field studies to collect data and information;
• Suggest and contribute to the development of research techniques, models and methods in collaboration with colleagues;
• Contribute to the production of research reports and publications;
• Prepare papers for the research team, Steering Group and other bodies;
• Prepare summaries and materials for reports, publications and website;
• Present research at national and international conferences / meetings as appropriate;
• Maintain knowledge and understanding within the field, transforming and applying knowledge acquired to research;
• Additional research related duties as-needed.
Requirements:
• Doctoral degree in Microeconomics, Economics of the Public Sector, Health Economics, Industrial Economics, Public Policy, Public Health or other related fields. Exceptionally qualified Master's degree candidates will be considered;
• Extensive experience in and knowledge of quantitative research methods, including study design, instrument design, data analysis, and reporting of research results;
• Extensive experience in and knowledge of qualitative research techniques, including grounded theory, qualitative data collection techniques, and analysis of qualitative data;
• In-depth knowledge of statistical techniques, and extensive experience in employing those techniques, including application of descriptive and inferential statistical techniques, and multivariate modeling;
• Experience in developing a variety of research reports and products, including publications for peer-reviewed journals and conference presentations;
• Experience with statistical analysis software.
