Description of the organization：

BGI was founded in Beijing on Sept 9th, 1999 with the mission of supporting the development of science and technology, building strong research teams, and promoting the development of scientific partnership in genomics field.

With a goal toward excellence, high efficiency, and accuracy, BGI has successfully completed a large number of projects. These include sequencing 1% of the human genome for the International Human Genome Project, contributing 10% to the International Human HapMap Project, 1000 genomes project, human Gut Metagenome, and completely sequencing the rice genome, the silkworm genome, the potato genome, carrying out research to combat SARS and, most recently decoding the genome of Germany deadly E.coli.

With the integrative structure of research innovation, platform development and industrial application, BGI aims to develop research collaboration and provide scientific support to scientists all over the world, contribute to the advancement of innovative biology research, molecular breeding, healthcare and related fields. Position 1：Research Scientist(Enzyme)

Responsibilities and description of the position :

1. Responsible for enzymology research and analysis, enzyme reagent development; ensuring work quality and progress, controlling cost and achieving the research aim;

2. Responsible for reagent and enzyme development, handing in work plan, composing research proposal, making materials purchasing plan and arranging funding allocation;

3. Resolve technical issues emerging in the process of research and development.

Requirements for applicants:

1. Biochemistry or enzymology engineering or related discipline, master degree (vice senior engineer) or above;

2. Being familiar with enzyme reagent preparation method, technology and with the operation procedure of related instrument; having more than 3 years of experience in enzymology reagent research and development is a priority;

3. Possessing high capability of experiment manipulation and being good at documentation retrieval; diligent, earnest, initiative, with sense of teamwork and high responsibility; the experience of diagnostics kit research and development is a priority.

Position 2：Research Scientist(Organic synthesis )

Responsibilities and description of the position :

1. Participate in the route development and research planning of fluorescent modified nucleotides.

2. Participate in the research for  pilot and mass production, be able to transfer technology to production workshop.

3. Laboratory equipment maintenance.

Requirements for applicants:

1. Master's degree in chemistry, biological chemistry, organic chemistry, synthetic chemistry, medicinal chemistry or related professional or above, 2+ years of working experience.

2. With a solid theoretical foundation in organic synthesis and process design and research skill, familiar with conventional organic synthesis can independently work on chemical synthesis and related analysis.

3. Good communication ability and the team player, strong sense of responsibility is required. 

4. With fluorescent modified nucleotides, nucleic acid analogues synthesis or related subjects research experience is a plus.

Position 3：Hardware Development Engineer

Responsibilities and description of the position :

1.Directs and manages reliability standards pertaining to the materials and techniques used in design and production; 

2.Directs and manages a research or technical design function for electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry; 

3.Directs and controls a mechanical system and equipment design function; 

4.Manages all phases of a product from market definition through production and release. 

5.Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel ensuring efficient operation of the function.

Requirements for applicants:

1.Bachelor degree or above，5+years experience  in hardware development .

2.Must be a strong team player, proactive, self-motivated and committed to working with responsibilities.

3.hardware development experience related the biological or medical instruments is preferred.
