Ge neral Description

This position is responsible for developing, implementing and managing a range of economic development initiatives for businesses throughout Greater China to facilitate investment and export opportunities in relation to Professional Services.

The establishment of effective business networks is key to supporting the market entry activities of Victorian companies utilising the Victorian Government Business Office (VGBO). Victorian companies are provided with assistance in planning and executing their market development activities into the Greater China market.

This position will be responsible for creating growth opportunities in the professional services sector.

Extensive knowledge of and experience in the Professional Services Sectore (including finance, legal, urban development, green building technologies, engineering and architecture) with a track record in delivering market access and trade and investment outcomes.


An extensive background in export management and development, with a proven record of achievement in trade or investment facilitation into China is important, as well as a sound knowledge of Australian trade and economic ties with China and a detailed understanding of the business and government environments in China.
